Orthodontic treatment moves teeth into better positions over time. People usually come for how it looks, and stay for the rest of it: crowded teeth are harder to clean, uneven bites wear enamel unevenly, and both tend to get slowly worse rather than better.
Adult treatment is now unremarkable. A good share of people straightening their teeth are well past their teens, and clear aligners are a large part of why.
