SureSmile
SureSmile clear aligner treatment — a removable, largely invisible way to straighten teeth, planned digitally from the first appointment.
SureSmile is a clear aligner system: a series of removable, transparent trays, each moving your teeth slightly further than the last. You wear each set for a prescribed period, then move on to the next, until the teeth have reached the planned position.
Why people choose aligners over braces
- They are difficult to notice in normal conversation
- They come out to eat, so nothing is off the menu
- You brush and floss normally rather than working around brackets and wires
- No wire emergencies, and fewer visits for adjustments
- The treatment is planned digitally, so the intended end position is visible before it starts
What it asks of you
Aligners only work while they are in your mouth, and the required daily wear time is long — typically most of the day and all night. This is the honest catch: braces work whether or not you are motivated, and aligners do not. If that sounds difficult, say so early and we will talk about whether it is the right choice.
Common questions
- How long does treatment take?
- It depends entirely on how far the teeth have to move. Simple cases can be months; more complex ones considerably longer. You will be given an estimate for your own teeth at the planning stage rather than a general figure.
- Am I too old for orthodontic treatment?
- No. Teeth move at any age, provided the gums and supporting bone are healthy. That is the real requirement, and it is one of the things we check first.
- Will it affect my speech?
- Most people notice a slight lisp for the first few days with a new set, and it settles quickly as you adjust.
